Littlemore Makers Studio

A little more time to celebrate creativity.

At Littlemore Early School, we believe that creativity is a language of childhood, a powerful way for children to make sense of their world. Welcome to The Makers Studio, is a thoughtfully designed space where imagination is nurtured and every child is seen as an artist in their own right.

Here, children are free to experiment with a wide range of traditional and unconventional materials, from paint, clay, and charcoal to natural objects and repurposed treasures. Every creation is valued, and every mark tells a story. In this studio, messy hands are signs of deep learning, and creative freedom is embraced as a vital part of early development.

The Makers Studio is not just about art, it’s about thinking and feeling.  Open-ended experiences lead children to invent, and express. They learn to take risks, solve problems, and connect with their own ideas and those of others. Whether swirling colours with their fingers or carefully cutting shapes, they are strengthening fine motor skills and building cognitive connections essential for resilience and lifelong learning.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, this space invites children to see the world differently and reflect their understanding through artistic languages. It is a studio where wonder is welcome, nature is a co-creator, and each child’s voice is heard in the strokes of their brush and the textures of their sculptures.

The Makers Studio is a place where creativity and nature meet, and little minds bloom.
