  • At Littlemore Early School, we prioritise fostering a strong sense of belonging for all children and families joining our community.

Our orientation process is a crucial first step in building meaningful connections between your child, your family, our educators, and the wider Littlemore community. We warmly encourage you and your child to attend play-and-stay visits before their official start. These tailored visits give your family the chance to explore our spaces, meet our educators, and become familiar with our daily rhythms, all while sharing important insights about your child’s unique needs and interests.

We recommend families attend three orientation visits at different times of the day, staying for as long as feels comfortable. This allows you and your child to experience the natural flow of the day, from morning hellos to midday routines and afternoon wind-downs. It also gives time for relationships to begin forming, helping children to feel safe and confident in their new environment. Over the course of these visits, a true picture of our program unfolds, laying the groundwork for a strong and trusting partnership between home and school.

Our dedicated educators are here to support you through this transition every step of the way. Feel free to bring comfort items from home and ask questions, we want you to feel at home too.

Our goal is to ensure your child feels secure, seen, and nurtured throughout their journey at Littlemore Early School, right from the very beginning.

Government rebates, such as the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), continue to apply for absences.
Learn more about CCS and absences here: Child Care Subsidy – Absences

  • Yes. Like most early learning services, Littlemore is closed on public holidays, but fees still apply. This is because we continue to cover ongoing operational and staff costs.

The CCS covers a number of absence days each year, which includes public holidays.
You can read more about this here: CCS and Public Holiday Absences

  • Our School provides all meals, wet wipes, sunscreen, and bedding if your child requires a sleep.

We ask for extra sets of clothing if a child is beginning to toilet train so we can continue to encourage those skills at Littlemore Early School.

If your child still has bottles of milk, formula or breast milk, we ask that you please supply the bottle, and any formula or breast milk required for the day.

We ask that children bring a clearly labelled water bottle they can identify and use between mealtimes.

It is imperative that all personal items are labelled, as like at home, things can be misplaced!

  • Absolutely. Our dedicated Kitchen Manager prepares nutritious, balanced meals that reflect a wide variety of cuisines and cultural traditions. All meals are designed to meet daily recommended dietary requirements.

We cater for a wide range of dietary, medical, cultural, and religious needs. Families are encouraged to discuss these during orientation. Our team uses OWNA to ensure every child’s dietary requirements are known and followed.

If we ever need further clarification, we’ll reach out to you, we’re committed to getting it right.

  • We follow flexible daily rhythms that are responsive to children’s needs.

Younger children follow their individual home routines, which gradually blend into our Littlemore rhythms as they progress through our school.

Our older children experience more predictable rhythms that follow regular mealtimes and sleep patterns that encourage independence and self-regulation, such as self-serving meals.

All routines however remain flexible, guided by children’s interests, needs, and energy levels throughout the day.

  • Yes! At Littlemore, our experienced team of educators, led by our Founder and a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, deliver our School Readiness Program, Littlemore Early Enrichment Program.

The Littlemore Early Enrichment program offers a nurturing and engaging learning environment that supports children’s holistic development and prepares them for a smooth transition to school. We focus on building independence and the essential skills children need to begin their school journey as confident, capable learners.

Our program is guided by both the Western Australian Kindergarten Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework (Being, Belonging & Becoming).

  • Yes. Our team is made up of highly qualified and experienced educators, including those with:

    • Bachelor Degrees in Early Childhood Education

    • Diplomas, Certificates IV and III in Early Childhood Education and Care

    All educators have:

    • Working With Children Checks

  • At Littlemore, we’re proud to be a recognised Cancer Council SunSmart Early Learning School. As a sun-safe service, we adopt daily sun protection practices to help keep children safe and healthy while they enjoy the outdoors.

All children and educators are required to wear a SunSmart hat, suitable clothing, and sunscreen when outside. Each child receives a Littlemore SunSmart hat upon enrolment.

Our educators monitor UV levels throughout the day and adapt outdoor play accordingly to minimise exposure during high-risk periods. We encourage families to apply sunscreen at home each morning so it has time to absorb before outdoor play. Our team will then reapply sunscreen as needed throughout the day.

We provide a child-friendly sunscreen at the service, but if your child has sensitive skin, please speak with their educators, you are welcome to supply your preferred brand.

  • For allergy and safety reasons, we ask that no outside food is brought into the School.

But don’t worry, we love to celebrate birthdays! Just let us know in advance, and our Kitchen Manager will prepare a special treat for your child to enjoy with their friends, at no extra cost to you.
